Art summary 2013

Description

Another year, another summary. Even though I have less to show than my last summary, I made more interesting and more original items, got better at it and made greater quality items. So I can call this a personal success. A lot of time was wasted this year on a stupid course I had to follow as a trainee. The reports I had to write where nonsense and they failed me for the course because I didn't live up to their unrealistic expectations without any sort of sensible help of the overseers. These are the reasons I created so little from January until July.

January: I was a trainee and didn't have a lot of time, I did make the art summary of 2012 though :P
February: I had ridiculous amounts of ridiculous sorts of work. It didn't help my creative spirit...
March: I had ridiculous amounts of ridiculous sorts of work. It didn't help my creative spirit...
April: Finally found some me time to craft
May: a follow up on the star trek earrings, I made push pins.
June: as cross stitch is a difficult thing to sell I decided to make some patterns that I like, I noticed it's difficult to find pleasing original patterns.
July: I had to sort stuff about my life.
August: stuff got sorted and I tried some embroidery hoop art.
September: The big leap towards FACTS2013
October: So many items where made but I am most proud of my original bat bag.
November: my own embroidery pattern, I'm still working on realizing this one in real life.
December: Finally made a tote bag especially for me!

It was a weird and interesting year for me. I have definitely grown as a person and gained some more insight into the world and how it works. Even though it aren't positive insights into the world they help me become a bigger person and take less sh*t from people. I also had a job for 10 months out of the 12 I think, and it looks like that for the next year too so my grown up life is finally settling in at the age of 25.

My artistic resolutions for this year?
1. Make a new original pattern ever month (12 in total)
2. Get drawing again to make more patterns (learn to decently use my markers)
3. Start making simple clothes (broadening my sewing skills)

I hope with my income and life getting more stable that I will get more time for my crafts and turn it into a legit hobby income.
